This ambitious campaign reached thousands of young people in Miami-Dade with informative voting materials and educational workshops. Materials for this voter engagement campaign included a step-by-step guide on how to vote, FL state amendment explainers used as primary materials across Miami-Dade College’s campus, a comprehensive voter guide to local and state elections, social pressure mailers, and pledge-to-vote cards. Our digital strategy targeted young potential voters by turning over our IG account to our youth organizers in the field for live updates and stories from their perspective.
Key Results: Our 2018 GOTV campaign put voter guides in the hands of 15k young people, reached 10k low propensity voters with mailers resulting in a 2% up-tick in voting, and handed out 6k+ pledge-to-vote cards with a 60% opt-in rate.
